A tall, somewhat pale girl, with long dark curls and green eyes, stepped down from the passenger side of a black Mercedes Benz SUV. She wore a long-sleeved cream colored dress with a black vest and leather boots to match. On her head, she wore a cream colored beret. After she adjusted the skirt of her dress, she walked over to the front and rested her back against the hood. A guy, much similar in appearance, with the exception of his short blonde hair and black thick rimmed glasses, came out from the driver’s side. He complimented the girl by wearing a black dress shirt that hugged his chest and his arms in a much appealing way, a cream colored bow tie and matching slacks, with black leather dress shoes. He slung his brown leather bag over his shoulder as he pulled out a key ring with a small black remote on it, and locked the car.

After checking his black Rolex, he went over to the girl and held out his arm. She linked hers with his and together, they walked towards the main building.

Pulling into the parking lot shortly after the pair was a red Maserati booming with techno music from the iPod port in the car stereo system. Behind the wheel was a guy with dark shades, who was tapping the steering wheel in tune with the song. “Boys rolling in Maseratis-what we need in this world is some love.” His hair which was partly covered by a dark green fedora, was swinging wilding as he was bobbing his head, along with a red and green feathered earring following the same motion in his left ear. When he finally decided he had had his fix, he turned off the engine and took off the shades, setting them on the dash board. He stepped out, and peered into the side view mirror, pulling out a black comb to fix his hair. He took off his fedora, and examined himself. Most of his head was shaved, except for the middle section that reached down to the middle of his back, which was always worn on the right. He winked at himself and then replaced the hat, tilting it to the same side as his hair. This student wore a fitted white tank top underneath an open red dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up. His dark green skinny jeans had silver chains hanging on both sides. To signify hi role, he wore a white belt that had a red music note for the buckle, and a red wrist band to match his shirt. For his shoes, black military boots. He pressed the remote on his key ring to lock the car.

As he was headed towards the main building, he stopped in front of a black Mercedes. He read the license plate, and snickered.

“MUCH LUV” it read.

Sitting under a tree and reading a book on a tablet was an Asian girl with shoulder length pastel pink hair with a solid baby blue bandana tied in it. She was reading a book named “Sketch,” by her favorite author, Anna Tite. As she was reading one of the sentimental scenes between the two main characters, she placed her hand on top of her heart and sighed dreamily. She wished she was in such a budding romance, and could find a guy like the one in the book. After finishing a chapter, she turned it off and slipped it into her shoulder bag. She stood up and brushed off any grass that could have clung to the back of her pastel pink leggings. She also brushed off debris from her baby blue sweater. On her way into the main building, she collided with someone, causing the silver flat on her left foot to come off. She slipped her foot into it and looked up to see who she bumped into. Staring down on her with a grin was a tall guy with brown hair and hazel eyes. He had on all black: his dress shirt, his tie, the leather jacket, the jeans, and his shoes. That’s all he would wear; black. He swung his arm around her shoulder, and the two walked together.

“Reading another one of your romance novels?” he teased.

All she could do was blush.

The tall girl with the green eyes and dark curls, parted from the blonde, and walked into a room labeled FSHN-STD. She set down her books and went over to a shapely mannequin wearing a wine red short dress. She tilted her head to the side and stared at it. Then she bent over half way and carefully readjusted one of the ruffles on the waist.

“Lorelei.”

She jumped a little, accidently ripping off part of the ruffle. She closed her eyes and sighed out of annoyance as she straightened. She turned around. When she saw who it was her mood changed, and she broke into a grin that bore her silver retainer.

Leaning against the door legs crossed, was the kid with the dark green fedora.

“Kenji.” She said, maintaining the grin.

“This,” He said after pulling out a CD from behind his back “is for you.” He walked over and handed it to her. “Just a little something from Ivot’s top DJ.”

“DJ-Synth?” she put her hand over her mouth to block a giggle from escaping. “So you finally decided on a name.” She read it aloud again. “It’s very different. I like it.”

“Thanks.” He nodded. “Well I gotta get to class. See you around Lor.” He turned on his heal and left.

Lorelei leaned back and sighed, CD to her chest. As she did, she leaned on the mannequin knocking it over. “Oops.” She replied under her breath.

As Kenji was walking towards his class, he stopped to read a poster that was hanging by the trophy case. It had a dark purple background with multiple lights, and black arms holding glow sticks. It was the scene of a rave. What caught his attention was the shadowed DJ in the center. Underneath the shadowed figure was a message reading:

March 12th @ 11:45 A.M.

DJ COMPETITION HELD AT MELORES SQUARE

WINNER GETS $5000 AND A CHANCE TO INTERN FOR

TRONIX SYNCHRO RECORDINGS.

RSVP:  tronix_synchrorecords@tsr.com

Kenji looked down both sides of the hall to see if anyone was watching. When he saw that no one was, he tore the poster off the wall, rolled it up and put it in his bag. He patted it and smiled. “This may just be my chance.” He said, as he started dancing down the hallway.

He continued to dance until he finally made it to class. Since he was early, no one was in the room, except for a student who was asleep in the corner. Kenji carefully threw his bag on the desk and slid into the chair. He pulled the poster out of his bag, and propped his legs on the desk. He unrolled the poster and pointed at the shadowed DJ. “This is me.” He mouthed, not wanting to disturb the other student.

In the room marked CMPTR-CLB, was the blonde with the black thick rimmed glasses. He was working on Ivot Academy’s website uploading information about dances, open house, and the school’s other social events. When he finished, he got up and stretched.

Mr. Sherwood, the club’s advisor looked up from his desk. He saw him grabbing his bag and pushing in his chair. He looked at his watch and back at the student. “Finished already Stephen?”

He nodded. “Yeah.” He looked over at the computer. “There wasn’t too much to add.”

Mr. Sherwood just nodded and focused back on his work.

Stephen left and headed towards his first class. He was walking down the hall and then stopped when he came to the trophy case. He furrowed his brows in confusion. “Wasn’t there a poster here?” he asked himself, remembering Mr. Sherwood posting them around campus. He adjusted his glasses, meaning he’ll take note of it.

He walked into class, finding Kenji eyes closed, wearing head phones and tapping on his thighs. In the corner, he saw someone starting to wake up. Shaking his head he took his seat in front of Kenji.

Other students started to file in around this time, as well as the teacher who was setting up their desk.

Stephen took off his shoulder bag and set it on the desk. He turned around. “Ken. Ken.”

Kenji was still listening to music and tapping his thighs.

“Kenji.” He said again, this time shaking his foot.

Kenji opened his eyes and sat up straight. He placed his head phones around his neck and smiled. “Hey man!” he exclaimed, standing up to give Stephen a bro hug. “How’s it going?”

Stephen shrugged. “Good.”

“Great!” he said as he reached into his bag and pulled out the poster. “Check this out!” he handed it to Stephen.

He took the poster and unrolled it. He sighed. “Kenji…where did you find this?”

“On the wall.”

“The wall.” He nodded to make sure he had this right.

Kenji pointed towards the door. “Yeah. The one--”

“By the trophy case?” He shook his head. “You’re not supposed to take these.”

Kenji shrugged.

Stephen read it. “Well naturally you’ll try out for this.”

“But of course! I love Tronix Synchro Recordings. If I get to intern for them, then I’m set for life.” He replied crossing his arms.

Internship isn’t permanent. Was Stephen reply, only he didn’t say it out loud to crush his friend. “So are you going to call out or something?”

Kenji looked confused. “What do you mean?”

Stephen showed him the poster. “It says here that it’s March 12th, at 11:45 A.M.” he paused, allowing time for Kenji to respond. “Meaning it’s during school hours.”

“Oh that?” Kenji passively waved his hand. “It’s quite simple my friend. I’ll just sneak out.”

Rolling up the poster he replied “Really? Sneak out? Good luck with that.” He handed it back to Kenji and then turned around to face the front.

Kenji didn’t even seem the slightest bit bothered. “Do I got this?”

Stephen turned his head and smiled. “You got this.”

Kenji couldn’t resist grinning as he leaned back in his seat.

The girl with the pastel pink hair was found in the room marked DRM-CLSS. She and her friend, who was decked out in black, were working on exercises together. They were sitting side by side on a bench on the stage. The exercise was the Alphabet scene in which person one had to start their sentence with the letter A, and person two with the letter B. Then back to person one with C, person two with D, and then so on and so forth.

The girl started. “Arnold! I am never speaking to you again!” she got up from the bench and stormed away.

“But what did I do?” Arnold asked.

“Can’t remember? I’m not surprised” she replied rudely.

“Don’t play these games with me Juni. You know I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He argued coming to a stand.

“Everyone saw you!”

“F…Fr…Fo…” he looked down at his shoes. He couldn’t think of anything to say.

“Forget everyone else!” one of their classmates shouted from the seats, followed by laughter from the rest.

“Great! Now you have someone fighting your battles for you.” Yeun-ja often called Juni continued, trying to stay in character.

“Haha! You crack me up. You know that?” he leaned back dramatically.

Their teacher, Miss Bailey put her hand on her forehead.

“I hate it when you laugh at me.” She said wiping her eyes to signify that her character was upset.

“Just get over it!” he exclaimed.

“Keep your sarcasm to yourself.” She mumbled crossing her arms and turning away from him.

“Look. I’m sorry.” He replied halfheartedly.

“Maybe you are. But that still doesn’t make up for what you did.”

“Now listen here.” He responded pointing downward. “I don’t know what you’re talking about!”

“Of course not!” she faced him again. “Jerk!”

“Please spare me with the name calling.” He responded sarcastically.

“Right. I forgot. You can’t handle it when people talk back to you!” she yelled.

“Stop trying to get me angry!”

“That’s funny! I thought you already were angry!” she stuck out her tongue.

“Unlikely. Besides it’s very unbecoming for a girl to stick out her tongue.”

“Well at this point, I don’t care.” She stomped her foot.

“X…” he looked down at his shoes again. “X…” He threw up his hands. “Well I guess that’s it.” He hopped off the stage and bowed.

The whole class was laughing, and broke into applause immediately after.

Juni was by the curtain. She had her arm around her stomach and her hand over her mouth. Her face was turning red from laughing so hard.

“Alright.” Miss. Bailey stood up and clapped to get everyone’s attention. “That wasn’t bad. It wasn’t great either, but still; not bad.”

Juni sat down on the edge of the stage and jumped. She walked over to the where Arnold was and sat down. She pulled in her legs and rested her arms on her knees.

“Next.” Miss Bailey continued, “We’ll work on impromptu scenes.”

Arnold placed his arm on the back rest of Juni’s seat and whispered to her. “What the heck starts with X?”

She buried her head in her knees and started giggling. “I don’t know.” She said shaking her head.
